Jeb Bush's daughter found with
cocaine, police say
Tallahassee, Fla. Sept 11,
2002
Noelle Bush, daughter of Gov. Jeb Bush, has suffered another
apparent relapse while in drug treatment.
Noelle Bush, 25, was found with a 0.2-gram rock of crack cocaine
in her shoe at an Orlando residential treatment center where she is a
patient, according to police.
As he did when his daughter was first arrested for her drug
problems in January and when she had a relapse in July, the governor
asked for sensitivity from the public and news media.
Police Sgt. Orlando Rolon said Noelle Bush had not been arrested
because the department is awaiting a sworn statement from the
rehabilitation center that she had possessed the drug.
